Wow, this school year is flying by! We are currently working on some classroom resolutions for the new year. I am encouraging each student to read on their highest AR color to challenge themselves and we are setting goals in reading chapter books, as well as picture books. Multiplication continues to be an important part of our math standards and we are setting daily goals and taking timed tests to master this standard. Please continue to review flashcards and daily tests with your child.

- I am a 2002 graduate of Reinhardt College with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I received my Masters Degree through Walden University in 2007. I taught third grade at Ellijay Elementary for 2 years before moving to LaFayette, GA. I moved to LaFayette when I married my husband in 2004. I began teaching at Gilbert Elementary that same year. This year is my 9th year teaching third grade students. Third Graders are very special to me. It is a big transition and by the end of the school year they have grown a lot in their education and physically as well.
