We have 43 school days left before the end of the year! Wow, I can't believe how fast this year has gone! We also have 18 school days left before the CRCT! We are anxiously preparing for this milestone in 3rd grade. Please be sure, as a parent or guardian, that you are checking your child's:
*Agenda everyday for important homework and test prep.
*Goal sheet for daily scores on AR, Multiplication Timed Tests, and their progress on stations.
*Graded work that comes home each Tuesday (great opportunity to review with your child).
*Any notes or flyers that are being sent to keep you informed about happenings at Gilbert.

- Tamara Scott
- I am a 2002 graduate of Reinhardt College with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I received my Masters Degree through Walden University in 2007. I taught third grade at Ellijay Elementary for 2 years before moving to LaFayette, GA. I moved to LaFayette when I married my husband in 2004. I began teaching at Gilbert Elementary that same year. This year is my 9th year teaching third grade students. Third Graders are very special to me. It is a big transition and by the end of the school year they have grown a lot in their education and physically as well.
